The Arts & Entertainment Network presents The Germans in W.W. II, a series of five onehour documentaries that retraces the major events of World War II from a German point of view. Along the way, the series offers insights into how an entire nation came to embrace the murderous philosophy of Adolf Hitler. Each commercial-free segment begins at 7 a.m. (EST).

January 6, 13.

The Arts & Entertainment Network also presents The Fatal Attraction of Adolf Hitler, a twopart series that examines the fatal charisma that transformed Hitler from a minor corporal in the army to the democratically elected leader of Germany. The one-hour documentaries air at 7 a.m. (EST).

January 7.

The Discovery Channel airs "Spirits of the Rainforest,'' a one-hour documentary that explores one of the largest, most biologically diverse tropical rain forests in the world--the Manu Biosphere Reserve. The show begins at 9 a.m. (EST) and is part of the channel's Assignment Discovery series.

January 25.

The Learning Channel presents "Count Me In!,'' a onehour program that looks at the history of the census and why it is so important today. Part of the channel's Elementary School series, the show airs at 4 p.m. (EST).

January 27.

ABC presents "Jacqui's Dilemma,'' a 60-minute ABC Afterschool Special that explores the issue of teen pregnancy. The program incorporates documentary footage into a fictionalized account of one girl's decisionmaking process. The show airs at 4 p.m. (EST).

January 31.

The Discovery Channel airs "The Living Planet: The Sky Above,'' a one-hour Assignment Discovery documentary that examines a number of scientific topics, including microbes, mammals, machines, and gravity. The show airs at 9 a.m. (EST).
