Following are application deadlines for awards, honors, and contests available to teachers. Asterisks (*) denote new entries.

Knowledge Adventure, an educational software publisher, and Compaq Computer Corp. invite K-12 teachers to enter a lesson-plan contest in mathematics, language arts, social studies, science, or problem-solving. Winners are judged on the plan’s organization, creativity, and presentation. One grand-prize winner receives a Compaq computer, valued at approximately $1,750; three first-prize winners each receive a library of teachers’ edition software from Knowledge Adventure, valued at approximately $500.
